My wife and I spent two weeks in February/March this year (2015) travelling through Costa Rica as part of a birding group. We were able to photograph many excellent birds but, at times, this was not always easy due to the size of our group, and the varying light conditions, particularly in the rain forest
This gallery does contain views of some wildlife and quite a few birds that can be seen in Costa Rica. Costa Rica is certainly a great birding experience.
